Vacationing in the Bahamas

This year I planned our family vacation to Nassau, in the Bahamas. It was her first time on a plane, and we got to enjoy an overnight layover in Miami. We stayed at the world famous Atlantis resort and visited their massive water park. We had several adventures including tubing with sharks and paddle boarding with dolphins. We ate authentic Caribbean food, and hung out in the pool for a majority of our vacation. In planning this vacation, I spent roughly $700 on our round trip airfare, and then an additional $500 for our stay at the resort, which included access to the private water park. So altogether, I paid about $1,200 for our 5 day, 4 night vacation in the Bahamas! But the memories we were able to make together will forever be priceless. Some things you just can't put a price tag on. By the end of our vacation, we were both exhausted and couldn't wait to be home. Overall, we had an amazing vacation, and will definitely go back one day! I recommend any parents looking for a family friendly, inexpensive vacation- the Atlantis resort is it! You can't go wrong with the Bahamas. There's so much to do and see that you'll never had downtime-- and when traveling with kids- I think that's important. Here are a few pictures from our Bahama vacation:
